Jan. 16 - Carbon Nation (82 min.)
A documentary about climate change SOLUTIONS. Even if you doubt the severity of the impact of climate change or don't buy it at all, this is still a compelling film that illustrates how SOLUTIONS to climate change address social, economic and national security issues. Discussion Facilitator: Sarah Green, Professor, MTU Dept. of Chemistry

Feb. 20 - Mother Caring For 7 Billion (70 min.)
Examines the challenges we face in a world of 7 billion. It tells the story of an American mother and child's right activist, and her journey to make sense of how and why the empowerment of women and girls around the world is so intricately linked to our fate on the planet. World-renown experts help explain one of the most persistent controversies in our culture that touches gender equity, religion, reproductive health and the environment.

March 20 & 26 - Marathon for Justice (44 min.) (World Water Day)
Explores the ways in which people of color have been disproportionately exposed to toxic chemicals in/on the air, land, and water. Meet communities around the country who have experienced the detrimental effects of pollution, contamination and the degradation of their lands, and find out how these citizens are mobilizing in the long race for justice.

April 17 - The Permaculture Orchard (90 min.)
Find out about a more holistic, regenerative approach to food production based on permaculture principles gained over 20 years. Highlights biologist and educator Stefan Sobkowiak who shares his experience transforming a conventional apple orchard into an abundance of biodiversity that takes care of itself . Learn how to set up your own permaculture orchard at any scale.

May 15 - Wasted! The Story of Food Waste (85 min.)
The issue of food waste is presented in light of the statistics: 40% of food produced for human consumption in the US goes to waste; >90% of this amount will end up in the landfill, where the waste produces methane gas - a greenhouse gas ; the cost of food waste is $1 trillion annually; and that there is still global hunger.
